Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in catering, food preparation, and kitchen operations within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure high standards are maintained Support the catering team in the preparation of ingredients and cooking processes Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas Help with serving food to individuals living in the home or guests in accordance with hygiene standards Restock supplies and ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and labelled appropriately Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination Assist with washing up, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste efficiently Support the team during busy periods by providing additional assistance as needed

Skills

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food safety regulations Familiarity with meal preparation and food handling procedures Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times

Pay: 12.35 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
