Overview

Super Natural is Newcastle's oldest vegetarian restaurant, celebrating 50 years next year.

We are seeking an experienced sandwich maker with barista coffee experience.

The role covers a wide range of duties and may include till use, cleaning and dish washing.

We are a small, family run business with a passion for customer service, based on Grainger Street Newcastle City Centre.

The position is part time with an immediate start and the wage will be minimum wage.

Duties

Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation of meals and ingredients. Help with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Organise and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Sandwich making Ensure that all food items are stored correctly to prevent spoilage. Cleaning / dishwashing Serving on till Barista coffee making

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for cooking is key. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for food and a willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
