Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Support chefs in cooking tasks as required, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
