Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. Support chefs and cooks in various kitchen tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes. Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is clean and ready for use. Participate in catering events by assisting with meal preparation and presentation. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow instructions from chefs regarding food preparation techniques and presentation standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A passion for culinary arts and meal preparation is advantageous. DBS needs to be on the update service.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
