Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. Support the catering team during events by preparing food items and assisting with serving as needed. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles such as catering or restaurant experience. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential. A background in culinary arts or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are required. A passion for cooking and serving quality food is essential for success in this role.
