Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Genoa Fish & Chips Newry. The ideal candidate must be aged over 21yrs old, this position is on a full time basis. They will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that kitchen cleanliness and hygiene are carried out efficiently and safely and can assist will food prep as required. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a kitchen environment and are flexible. Week evening and Sunday work are essential please do not apply if you cannot work these shifts or are not aged over 21yrs!

Responsibilities

Washing dishes to a high standard Pot scrubbing Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Taking in deliveries rotating stock and putting away safely
Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of cleaning processes Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen tasks as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.

Pay: 11.50-12.22 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
