We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service, with an interest in catering, cooking, and food preparation. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Duties
Assist with meal preparation and follow high standards of food safety
Support chefs and kitchen staff in basic cooking tasks and ingredient organisation
Prepare ingredients, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen
Ensure ingredients are stored correctly and labelled appropriately
Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a similar kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
Some knowledge of food safety standards and practices
Basic cooking skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Willingness to learn new skills
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings
