We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various dishes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Help with meal preparation for catering events and daily service, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Support chefs and cooks by providing assistance during busy service periods. Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly to maintain a safe working environment. Organise and store food items properly to prevent spoilage and ensure easy access during meal preparation. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to develop culinary skills further.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
