We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties

Assist in meal and food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients Support catering events by preparing ingredients and setting up serving stations Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards Help with stock organisation and inventory checks to ensure supplies are well-managed Serve food to guests or customers as required, ensuring presentation standards are met Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as directed

Skills

Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential Basic cooking and food preparation skills Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail Customer service skills for serving guests or customers effectively Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and adapt to different roles within the kitchen environment
