We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes.
Support cooks and chefs in the kitchen by following instructions and maintaining a clean workspace.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
Help with catering events by preparing food items as required and assisting with service.
Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and well-maintained.
Organise storage areas for ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow.
Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and inventory checks.
Skills
Experience in food preparation or a background in catering or restaurant environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with kitchen staff effectively.
