We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and meal assembly are carried out efficiently and safely. Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various dishes. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support cooks and chefs in meal preparation, including assembling ingredients and plating dishes as required. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, following all operational guidelines. Participate in stock management by helping to receive deliveries and storing food items appropriately. Assist with cleaning duties post-service, including washing utensils, pots, and pans, as well as maintaining a tidy workspace. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred. A passion for cooking and an interest in developing culinary skills will be highly regarded. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to assist others are essential for success in this role.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
