We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Support chefs with cooking tasks as required, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with catering events as needed, providing support during service to ensure a smooth operation. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff. Serve food to customers or guests as required, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurant settings. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
