We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly. Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Support chefs and cooks during service by providing timely assistance with meal preparation and plating.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food as needed.
Skills
Experience in food preparation or a background in catering is highly desirable.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and basic cooking skills would be advantageous.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
