We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs. Help with the organisation and storage of food supplies and ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Support catering events by preparing food items as required. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment for events or service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is advantageous. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen. A passion for cooking and an interest in developing culinary skills.
