Job Description

A Kitchen Assistant/ Cook's key responsibilities are:

To assist in producing and delivering menu on a daily basis.

. Preparing meals in line with kitchen tickets in a timely fashion

. Prepping for services

. Assisting with organising and cleaning kitchen

Planning prep & ingredient ordering for weeks ahead

. Preparing, cooking and producing quality foods in line with company standards and specifications.

. Stock rotation

.Stock checks

. Assisting with serving

. Breakfast, lunch and sandwich preparation

Maintaining hygiene standards and complying with Safer Food, Better Business.

Assisting in the efficient day to day running of the branch

Supporting colleagues

All Kitchen Assistant/ Cooks are expected to:

Deliver excellent customer service

Attention to detail in the preparation of meals and sandwiches Take part in any training offered by the company. Hold a current Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date (employer to pay). Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff. Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store. Learn about and understand the products. Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others. Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided

In Addition:

This vacancy is for experienced kitchen staff to participate in the efficient service of a busy kitchen.

This role will include weekends and bank holidays, however a rotation system is in place for weekends & bank holidays.

Training courses and vocational qualifications are offered for candidates wishing to progress their food & hospitality careers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
