We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to be part of the team here at Wiston Estate Chalk Restaurant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kitchen, we offer the opportunity to develop under a skilled and experienced team.

We offer competitive rates of pay plus service charge, and a friendly, inclusive working environment. We are open for Lunch Service from Wednesday - Sunday, with Dinner services on Friday and Saturday, where we require the support from a Kitchen Assistant.

The details! - This vacancy is for a Kitchen Assistant, flexible shifts covering Saturday and Sundays

The key responsibilities to this role will be;

To ensure that all equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized to the required standard, Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing and peeling vegetables and preparing salads. Ensure that all food waste is disposed of properly and efficiently. Follow all health and safety regulations, including correct handling of cleaning chemicals. Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen at all times, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces and emptying bins. Assist chefs and kitchen staff as required, including carrying heavy items and storing food supplies. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth running of the kitchen. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required. Develop into food preparation

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, we are looking for individuals with good communication and have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings is required.

Please note the ability to drive is essential due to the rural location.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
