Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties, contributing to the smooth operation of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team during service periods, including serving meals when required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Help with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Support cooking activities under supervision, gaining practical culinary experience Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas before and after service Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation are preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately Friendly demeanour with excellent teamwork skills Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
