Fish Bar Cornwall is an exciting, new family run business located in Treleigh, Redruth. We are a Fish and Chip takeaway with the added bonus of a beautifully designed bar.

We are looking for a part time kitchen assistant to join our team, previous experience in kitchen work desirable however not essential. We are happy to train the right candidate who shows willingness to learn and develop.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a fryers assistant to join our kitchen team in preparing delicious takeaway fish and chips and food options. As our Fryers assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality food and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

- Potato preparation, chip preparation and ticket management
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fryer station, kitchen and surrounding areas. Assist the fryer with tasks before, during and after service.
- Assist in other kitchen tasks as required to support the team

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Passionate in creating new takeaway ideas to keep our customers coming back

Hourly pay will be depend on age and experience. Must be aged 16 or over to apply.

Must be available to work on Friday and Saturday evenings.
