Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes efficiently Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and storing ingredients appropriately Serve meals to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner Assist with general kitchen organisation, including waste disposal and cleaning schedules

Skills

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers Basic culinary skills including meal preparation, food handling, and serving techniques Willingness to learn new skills within a professional kitchen setting
