Team Members under 21 will be paid at 1.00 per hour less, which is significantly above National Minimum Wage guidelines for this age group_

A little about Avenue House Nursing and Care Home:

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care, for 48 residents.


Competencies for Kitchen Assistant:

Team player Experience working in a previous Kitchen role Ability to work under pressure Good time management Good written and oral communication skills A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents A positive and enthusiastic outlook
Day to Day Responsibilities for Kitchen Assistant:

Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to our residents Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines Promoting our resident's choice, dignity and independence and all times
Essential Requirements for Kitchen Assistant:

A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting Live within 20 minutes of the Home Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification
Preferred Requirements for Kitchen Assistant:

One years' experience in a similar role One years' experience working in a residential or nursing home. Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
