We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and safety standards
Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring timely delivery of meals
Help with food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas throughout shifts
Assist with serving food to customers or guests as required
Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
Support catering events by setting up tables, serving dishes, and clearing after service
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic culinary skills is advantageous
Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards is preferred
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if required
A positive attitude towards learning new skills and supporting team members
