The Burrito-Comida Mexicana is an authentic Mexican restaurant committed to providing high-quality meals and exceptional service. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Job Summary

The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, and supporting chefs and cooks with routine tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on kitchen experience and grow within the culinary industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food and ingredients (washing, chopping, portioning, etc.) Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including dishes, equipment, and surfaces Unload and store food deliveries properly Dispose of waste and follow food safety and hygiene standards Support chefs and line cooks during busy service times Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen supervisors or management

Requirements

Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking methods. Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus. Passion for food and willingness to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions accurately Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
