We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will have a passion for catering and cooking, with some experience in a restaurant or food service environment. Responsibilities



Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team during events, ensuring timely and efficient service Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times to ensure a safe environment Help with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Serve food to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner Support the team in setting up and clearing down after service periods Assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision, gaining hands-on culinary experience

Requirements



Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if required Basic serving skills and familiarity with food presentation are advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-14.09 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
