Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Support chefs and cooks with various tasks as required, including chopping vegetables and assembling dishes. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the highest quality of food preparation. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in catering events as needed, contributing to the overall success of service delivery. Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial for maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen. A willingness to learn and develop skills within the culinary field is essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.

Pay: 12.35-12.60 per hour
