Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Support chefs in cooking and presenting dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with the serving of meals during busy service periods. Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurants. Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of culinary techniques. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
