We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and meal service run smoothly. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and meal assembly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils. Support chefs and cooks in various tasks, including food preparation and catering services. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment during events or service periods. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy restaurant or catering setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A genuine interest in culinary arts and meal preparation.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
