We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, whether in catering, restaurants, or other culinary settings.

Duties



Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Support the serving of meals during busy periods Help with inventory management by checking supplies and reporting shortages Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Experience



Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be an advantage A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.39 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week
