We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the catering team during events and daily service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage of ingredients
Serve food to guests or customers as required, ensuring a courteous and professional approach
Assist with washing up, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste responsibly
Support the team in setting up for service, including arranging tables or serving stations as needed
Experience
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures is advantageous
Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and serving practices will be beneficial
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to work efficiently under pressure is preferred
A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are highly valued
