Wyrley Rose Care Home are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Support chefs and cooks in various kitchen tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor. Participate in catering events as required, contributing to meal preparation and service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
