As a Kitchen Assistant you'll be working with the kitchen staff in preparing and making all meals for clients, from scratch ensuring meals are balanced nutritious and you're aware of any intolerances and allergies. You'll also make sure all kitchen and surrounding areas are always kept clean and tidy.

The role:



You'll support and assist kitchen staff ensuring food is freshly cooked and baked and all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and tidy, with meals being prepared on time within the allocated timeframes

Regular Shift Pattern, 2-week rotational rota:

Week 1 -

Wednesday 8am -2pm and Thursday 8am - 3pm and 4pm to 7pm, Saturday 8am - 2pm, Sunday 8am- 2pm

Week 2 -

Monday 8am - 2pm; Thursday 3pm - 7pm, Friday 8am - 2pm. Paid DBS if required (please confirm to our HR recruiter if you have a DBS on the update service). Employee Assistance Program. What you'll be doing:



Provide consistent and useful help baking for holidays and special occasions. Using fresh ingredients, you'll be cooking and preparing meals. Assist the cook in cleaning food serving areas and equipment including deep cleaning on a regular basis. Assist with food preparation and ensure you are aware of any allergies or intolerances Work as part of the food service team to ensure smooth, efficient and safe operation of the kitchen Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues. Cover holidays to avoid gaps in the rotas.
As a precondition of this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship, therefore you must have a valid right to work permit upon applying.

What you'll bring:



A naturally caring disposition and be passionate about the care you deliver. Strong command of written and verbal English. Experience of working in a busy industrial kitchen. Ideally an enhanced adult workforce DBS on the update service. Experience of working within a care setting would be advantageous.

Due to the location of our home and our shift patterns, you should be able to reasonably commute to Clevedon (BS21)
