We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients under the guidance of chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored. Support catering events by preparing food items according to specific menus and dietary requirements. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations, ensuring that all food is handled safely and hygienically. Help with serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages or issues.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants. A background in culinary arts or relevant training is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team setting.
