We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking and serving meals during busy service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in catering events, setting up food stations, serving guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen experience or culinary experience is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Experience in catering or restaurant settings is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new techniques. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when required.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
