Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Go Local. Based in Wirral, this role is vital in supporting our food service operations and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly to support our supermarket cafe or food service area. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment. Follow food safety and hygiene standards diligently. Support the kitchen team with basic cooking and catering tasks. Ensure all food items are stored correctly and inventory is managed efficiently. Help serve customers with their food orders when needed. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in catering, cooking, or kitchen environments. Knowledge of food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a supermarket or retail food setting is a plus. Flexibility to support various shifts as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.30-13.53 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
