Job Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic
Kitchen Assistant
to join our team and help us deliver nutritious, well-presented meals every day for our clients service users in a Care Home. As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll support the Chef and catering team in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where teamwork, attention to detail, and a caring attitude make all the difference.Duties
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Follow all food safety and health & safety regulations. Help with stock rotation and basic record-keeping. Work collaboratively with the Chef and care staff to meet residents' dietary needs.
Qualifications
Enhanced DBS check
(required - must be current or willing to apply). Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role preferred but not essential. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices. Reliable, friendly, and able to work well as part of a team. Compassionate attitude towards older people and those in care.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 13.77 per hour
Work Location: In person
