Kitchen Assistant Overview:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support kitchen management with food preparation and clearing up processes, ensuring that all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are observed. You will work as part of a team to provide well-cooked, nutritious, and attractively presented food to residents at the agreed times.


This role is ideal for someone who wants to establish a career in catering and is willing to obtain a Food Hygiene Certificate through on-the-job training. You should have some experience serving meals and knowledge of basic food preparation methods. While previous experience in the Adult Social Care Environment is not necessary, you must be willing to work within this sector.

About the Home:

Part of a large charitable organisation, Connaught Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support. We can support up to 94 residents with permanent care or short-stay respite breaks.


Our in-house Training Manager is here to guide you through your induction programme, and our learning and development team is dedicated to helping you flourish and advance your career. We want you to feel confident and empowered to make the most of each day with us.
