We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for meal preparation. Support the cooking staff by ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are readily available. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in catering events by preparing food items according to specified menus and guidelines. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and customer satisfaction. Kitchen assistants will be trained and work cafe area such as serving customers, making hot drinks, cleaning tables and more

Skills

Proficiency in food preparation techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations within a culinary environment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality meal preparation. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous but not essential. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.
