We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and meal service, ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating food items. Support chefs with cooking tasks, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Help with serving meals to customers and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable. Participate in stock management by assisting with inventory checks and reporting any shortages. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team setting. A genuine passion for food and cooking, with an eagerness to contribute to a successful kitchen team.
