Kitchen Assistant/cook
Job Description
Parkhouse Manor Care Home, Barrhead are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
JOB DETAILS:
16 hrs per week - 2 x 9hr shifts (1 hr unpaid break)
12.60 per hour.
Duties:
- Assist and prepare and cook high-quality dishes following set recipes
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor stock levels and place orders when needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Assist in developing new menu items
- Plate and present dishes in an attractive manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
