Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our meals are not only delicious but also prepared with the utmost care and hygiene. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation for special events or catering services. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and storage spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating enjoyable dining experiences for guests.
