Do you have a love of cooking? You don't need to be a trained chef for this position as full training will be given on all our dishes.

The position is a full time with straight daytime shifts, includes meals on duty.

Responsibilities include, day to day running of the kitchen including freshly preparing and serving, locally sourced food, fulfilling customer orders of soups, sandwiches, salads and some hot food. You will need to be a strong team player, organised, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn

We are a small friendly family run business in the heart of Grasmere. We make almost everything we serve ourselves and specialise in gluten free and vegan offerings although not exclusively so. Most of our customers are repeat customers. Our ethos is consistent good quality with friendly efficient service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and preparation of daily menus, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations and proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A genuine passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
