We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Culinary Specialist. This role involves a variety of tasks related to food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a keen interest in culinary arts.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Provide excellent service when plating dishes for serving or during catering events.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably within a restaurant setting. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Culinary qualifications or training would be an advantage but are not mandatory. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure are key attributes for success in this role.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
