We're looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant / Chef to join our small cafe team This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to food safety and excellent service.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours and Deliveries. Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback. Serve meals to customers, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a cafe setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
