We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors.
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout service
Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Ensuring all health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
Supporting the team during busy periods by helping with serving or other general duties as required
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is desirable
Experience working in hospitality or within a fast-paced kitchen environment will be beneficial
Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to food service settings is preferred
