For Immediate start : A flexible Kitchen Assistant to assist the chef in all aspects of preperation and service. Competent enough to cover service in chefs absence.
This is a temporary position till Christmas ( 19th Dec) BUT for the right person will lead to a permanent position in January
A good command of both written and spoken English is essential as is Level 2 Food Safetyy
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Supporting the movement of ingredients and supplies around the kitchen as needed
Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Restocking supplies and ensuring that cleaning stations are well-equipped for daily use
Skills
Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn about culinary processes and hospitality standards
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving items .
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 10.00-12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
