Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and cooking processes run smoothly. Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Support chefs in cooking tasks, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with serving food during meal times, ensuring that guests receive their orders promptly and courteously.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, whether in restaurants, hotels, or catering services. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. A background in hospitality or culinary arts will be considered a plus. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new techniques and processes.
