We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is stored correctly and labelled appropriately
Support the team in serving customers when required, providing friendly and professional service
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Contribute to menu development ideas based on current trends and customer preferences
Experience
Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is desirable but not mandatory
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety standards
