Job Overview

We are looking for a

skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen & Cafe Team Member

to join our team at Victoria Sponge Cafe in Monikie. This role is ideal for someone with previous

kitchen or cafe experience

who can bring creativity, reliability, and energy to our friendly community cafe. You'll play a key part in preparing food and drinks, ensuring smooth service, and making our cafe a welcoming place for all.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Cafe Team Member, you will:

Prepare and serve hot drinks, light meals, and snacks to a high standard. Work confidently in the kitchen with good food preparation and hygiene skills. Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional way. Maintain cleanliness and safety across the cafe, kitchen, and dining areas. Follow all food hygiene, health, and safety standards. Handle cash and card payments accurately. Restock supplies and keep the cafe ready for service at all times. Support team members during busy service periods. Share ideas to improve food, drinks, and customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Kitchen/cafe experience is essential

(minimum 6 months preferred). Reliable, creative, and enthusiastic personality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt quickly and work under pressure. Must be available to work

weekdays

(with occasional weekends if needed). Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail.
