We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for food safety. As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service while fostering a positive work environment for your team.
Duties
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Implement cost-control measures to optimise profitability without compromising quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
A genuine passion for food and hospitality, with a desire to help others develop their culinary skills.
