Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Kitchen/Counter Assistant to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves supporting food preparation, customer service, and cashiering duties in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and customer interactions, with a focus on maintaining sanitation and providing excellent service to our guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change accurately Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed Assist with basic food safety practices including sanitation and proper storage of ingredients

Experience

Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math enhances effectiveness in this role Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not mandatory Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Health & Hygiene level 2 Certificate is a must Must be over the age of 21
