Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner or kitchen fitter to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery, carpentry, and the use of power tools. This role involves assembling kitchen units, making bespoke alterations and fitting worktops using mitre joins, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The Joiner will work on a variety of projects in and around Newcastle, Gateshead , County Durham and Northumberland.

The job would suit someone looking for partial retirement or part time work. Willing to discuss pay depending on level of skill and time served.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fabricate kitchen units according to specifications and drawings. Perform joinery tasks, including cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials. Utilise power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and in compliance with safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times. Plumb structures accurately to ensure alignment and stability.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, carpentry skills, and the use of power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting heavy materials when necessary. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to various job sites.

Pay: 13.15-23.16 per hour
